Little Learning Garden

So many lessons to be learned by growing a garden. From counting, comparing, and planting seeds, to  measuring growth or observing flower and leaf shapes, there is a wealth of knowledge to gain.

Little row of pickle plants up against the fence,

In blooming sunshine suspense!

Take simple photos from around the yard.

Little patch of yellow squash a-growing,

already a tiny squash showing!

Caption them with descriptive poetic rhyming sentences.

Bitty hill of winter squash, haven’t gone awash!

Make pencil drawings of some of your photos.

Teensy pepper thing, already pepper-ing!

Identify all the different colors in your photos.

Tiny lettuce, sprouts for us!

Count the petals, flowers, leaves, trees, or what ever else is in your picture.
